Quickstart

After installing the app, follow these steps to get wishlists working on your store.

1. Add the widget to your theme

The widget is automatically injected via Shopify’s app embed. To enable it:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
  2. Click App embeds (left sidebar)
  3. Toggle on SimplerSuite Wishlist
  4. Click Save

The heart icon will now appear on all product cards and product pages.

2. Configure the App Proxy

The App Proxy lets the widget communicate with the wishlist backend through your store’s domain. This is configured automatically during installation, but you can verify it:

  1. Go to your Shopify Partners dashboard → Apps → SimplerSuite Wishlist
  2. Under App proxy, confirm:
    • Subpath prefix: apps
    • Subpath: wishlist
    • Proxy URL: points to the SimplerSuite API

3. Test it

  1. Visit your store’s product page
  2. Click the heart icon — it should animate and fill in
  3. Navigate to another page — the heart should remain filled
  4. Open the wishlist page at your-store.com/apps/wishlist

4. Check the dashboard

Go to the SimplerSuite Wishlist dashboard in your Shopify admin. You should see:

  • Analytics — Real-time wishlist activity
  • Top Products — Most wishlisted products
  • Settings — Widget appearance customization
